Canibus is one of the most lyrical dudes I know. I remember the first time I heard him spit, I was like "DAMN!! He reminds me of a young me!" I'm talking about the growl, the hunger, the confidence, and the cadence was dead on.
When the rivalry between LL and Canibus started heating up, I immediately got my popcorn ready. I knew this lyrical warfare was going to be very interesting. Although Canibus was the younger cat on the come up, people didn't know LL was cut from that same battle cloth. L found his lane in making commercial songs, but I already knew He was a beast as well. The LL, Canibus beef will forever be a hip hop classic. I'm so happy they got past it, because both of them are my brothers!!

After following Canibus through his career, it was imperative I do a joint with him. How could we make this happen? Well it just so happened that my manager at the time was Ed Woods (R.I.P. 🙏🏽🙏🏽). Ed Woods was great friends, and went to college with Michael Dobson, who at the time was working with Canibus, and Mike is also a good friend of mine. What a coincidence. The rest is History!!
Once Ed and Mike got Canibus and me on the phone, it was like we already knew each other for years. We would kick it on the phone for hours. It was crazy that we had so many things in common. I was amazed by how much he knew about my history. We finally met in person to knock out this video. Shoutout to DoomDaWiz for driving from Massachusetts to Baltimore with Dj Kool Nez to capture some flicks, and shooting this amazing video.
SALUTE CANIBUS!🫡🫡
