MIKEY D CEREAL

When I said Mikey D Cereal outside it was a hit. When I said it on wax people thought I bit. Truth is, the Mikey D cereal line was around a couple of years before the famous Cool J Cookies from the song “I’m Bad”.

What people didn’t know is that LL Cool J and me were partners before records. When we were partners, he wrote Cool J cookies to basically compliment Mikey D cereal. We were partners, so he didn’t bite. It only went left because he said his on wax first. To a bigger audience it looked like I was biting when I said my rhyme. Due to ego and peer pressure from the streets, I said “FORGET THE COOKIES, EAT MIKEY D CEREAL”” as a dis on the single “I Get Rough”.

Back then I was in my feelings. I was tired of people who didn’t know me, telling me I sounded like LL That really irked my nerves, even though that was the reason we rocked together in the first place. We really did sound exactly alike.

I’m so glad the drama years are behind us. I’m super proud of the icon he’s become. Much Love To The Goat, LL Cool J!! 🐐🐐
