It was 1993, we were just about finished recording this album when Cut & Scratch were like "we should do another posse cut". That suggestion was a no brainer.
MC Lotto aka Lot Pacosso has been rocking with me since the mid 80"s, so I already had him on speed dial. My man Fely O introduced me to Shaquan aka Ma Barker when she was about 15-16. The first time she rhymed for me, I knew she was a problem on the mic. She most definitely had that IT factor!!
The day I met Shaqueen I made a promise to her and her mom, if I ever got put on, I was coming back to snatch her up. When I started working with K Cut & Sir Scratch in Canada, they asked me if i knew any dope female rappers. I bragged about Shaqueen, and before you kneW it, she was with us in Canada.
I remember riding out to Yonkers to meet two possible candidates for this song. "The Warlocks". We were in a basement chopping it up with a couple of brothers as we waited for Jadakiss. Mind you, Sheek was already there. We waited for about a half hour when Kiss finally arrived. We introduced ourselves, then started the cipher. Sheek's flow was and still is straight hip hop, articulate, and raw street. Jada had and still has that raspy voice, with the witty wordplay, and street knowledge. K Cut and Sir Scratch asked me what I thought. I was all smiles and told them to book the time.
THE REST IS HISTORY!!!!
